The search is over....

As you all know, I've been trying to come up with band names for my GHWT band. I know that everyone is on pins and needles on what my decision is. In my last post, you saw my lame attempt at band names. I really tried to be creative and humorous in some of the names that I came up with. I will admit that only one of those names stuck out to me, GET Filthy. Then along comes Mr. Fickling. (Not PAPPA FICK, his son CWF.) I have said, 'til I was blue in the face, that FICK is the "BRAINS" of 5TH SAS. He has shown again why he has this title. Fick, the creator of the great band FBAC, has yet again come up with the next big metal band to hit the stage:

FIYHR (pronounced fear)

Fihyrs are the collected fears of humanity made corporeal. These creatures were once thought to be related to beholders, but in fact there is no connection between the two kinds of monsters aside from a superficial resemblance. As the remnants of hundreds of people’s nightmares swirl through the ether, they somehow combine with leftover magical power and coalesce into these physical monsters. A few random dream images aren’t enough; it takes the strong emotional energy of a mass of people under duress to spawn a fihyr. The right combination of conditions is most often found in cities that are under siege, or being terrorized by monsters, or suffering from famine, civil war, or some other mass trauma. Great fihyrs are larger, more intelligent, and much more dangerous than the smaller variety. A great fihyr forms when a number of small fihyrs combine.


There it is! This is the name of my band. Now, before you look for the swag, I'm working on the logo. T-shirts may be out by Christmas. You can get one for that certain special someone. The web site is in the making. (As soon as Fick comes up with that too!) I will be looking for you all in the front row of my next gig. I'll be opening up for FBAC.........
