Happy 20th Anniversary Mom!! On Aug 1st my mother will celebrate her 20th Anniversary of her 40th Birthday...... Yep, she had my sister and I at a real early age. It was a real "Ripley's Moment" ! My mother will never see this 'cause she thinks the Internet is a type of stocking. I cannot really blame her either, the nursing home charges ten extra dollars a month for it! Come on people, we pay for a window, mini fridge, 1 case of beer, sheets changed once a month, one shower a day, she don't need the "full" meal plan (2 fruit and a veg. is enough), and my sister and I alternate visiting times. We alternate because only two people can fit into her room at a time. "The ten extra dollars would just be spoiling her!" my sister says. Besides, it was my sister's idea to get the room with the window! I guess that is why she is the "favorite" one. That little 12 inch wide x 36 inch long window was the budget breaker. That window is why my mother cannot read my blog.....thanks sis. Sorry about that, was having a Dr. Phil moment.
I'm telling everyone about my mother's anniversary because it is a big deal to us. We love her very much and tell her this every chance we get. To this day she does everything she can (for us) from that tiny little room. She still does for us and asks for nothing in return! We love you and wish you many more Anniversaries!! I will have to leave it at that for now. The nursing home beats her if we are late. (protection cost five a month- DAMN that window)

Oh no! I thought the Q-Tip in the next room was take'n her beer. I beat that lady down, kid. She had a wicked left hook, but she was no match for the "Fly'n Burrito"! One broke hip and a bed pan for a hat......she ain't taken no more Colt 40s!! Well no worries, she had Alzheimer's she won't remember! Enjoy the beer CWF.....
ok, I have to admit, that's funny! I guess as the "favorite" I have to throw you a bone every now and then. But what you didn't know is that I gave her an extra case of beer for her birthday. So I'm still one up on you! By the way, how did I every survive childhood with such a crazy person for a brother? Oh yeah, aren't YOU the adopted one?
As the world now knows, the Thompson family has nutt'n but love for each other! I'm rubbing my face from that "adopted" slap. Oh yea, Chris thanks you for the extras case. Bingo night was get'n dull for him with just three beers. Oh yea one more thing, Gena I did not pay for the bed pans to be emptied! Mom left you a gift on her Anniversary. How you like'n that window now? HA HA HA HE HE HE

To all- My mother did get to read this after all. The "favorite" one snuck her out to her house. My mother did laugh, she does this instead of counting to 10. The "favorite" one hid all the wire coat hangers ahead of time. So all is well. Thanks for the word of mouth too!
